Supun Kamburugamuva commented on ACCUMULO-594:
----------------------------------------------

Hi Eric,

I would like to learn and contribute to projects in big data space and would really like to do a GSoc project in Accumulo. I'm a PHD student at Indiana University and my research area is in Distributed Systems. I'm also a committer to few Apache projects. I would like to take this project and contribute to Accumulo project. I'm new to this area and would like to get some guidance to where to start.

Regards,
Supun..

> The monitor overview page plots accumulo performance data over time for all tables. I would like to be able to see this data over time per table (and maybe per tablet server). Could add this to the monitor page. Eric suggested maybe using OpenTSDB to collect and view this data.
