Rework on serializers/deserializers

Hi everyone,

Thanks to Xavier we enhanced our (de) serializer support but this was quite
a huge refactoring at the end since some container-ed or not values (in a
list or set) cases were not very well handled.
If you have some minutes to ensure nothing had been broken it would be
appreciated, our test suite is not bad but I'm sure some cases and generic
abuses can be in a not that great shape now.
