[jira] Created: (VFS-231) Work with and Harvest / consolidate code
bases : Maven, Netbeans, ANT into VFS
Work with and Harvest / consolidate code bases : Maven, Netbeans, ANT into VFS
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: VFS-231
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/VFS-231
Project: Commons VFS
Issue Type: Task
Affects Versions: 1.1
Environment: All, Java
Reporter: hanasaki jiji
Fix For: 1.1
Please work with and coordinate with the Maven and Netbeans projects (and any other relevant ones) to harvest, use, and refactor code into VFS. For example, both maven and Netbeans include code for access to several source code repositories. This could be harvested into the VFS project and accelerate those projects who would no longer maintain such code. Reduces code bloat in those projects and eases maintenance after they are refactored to use the VFS with harvested code. Also would create a "standard" API for the opensource community with the low dependency coupling VFS already has.

[jira] Resolved: (VFS-231) Work with and Harvest / consolidate code

Ralph Goers resolved VFS-231.
-----------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
I'm a committer on Maven. It is unlikely Maven will use VFS but I will certainly make them aware of it. As for Ant and Netbeans, etc. we would be happy to work with them in any way needed. There is no real "fix" for this issue so I am closing it.
