as Flink SQL is more and more critical for user running batch jobs, experiments, and OLAP exploration, it's important than ever to support setting and changing session properties in Flink SQL.

 

Use cases include switching SQL dialects at runtime, switching job mode between "streaming" and "batch", changing other params defined in flink-conf.yaml and default-sql-client.yaml
