Bind Object into Global JNDI Within Servlet?

Hello,

Is it possible to bind objects into global JNDI from within web 
application code?  For instance, I'd like to bind some objects into 
global JNDI from one webapp so that other webapps will see them.

Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
