[jira] Commented: (DERBY-1784) When qualifying a column name with its synonym name in the select list, Derby throws SQLSTATE 42X04.

Yip Ng commented on DERBY-1784:
-------------------------------

Just went through the related code area for this issue and I think I have a fix for this but need abit more time to confirm before I post the fix. The problem is somewhat obvious, the column reference in the select list is not resolved properly when it is qualified by a synonym table name at bind time of the column reference.

> When qualifying a column name with its synonym name in the select list, Derby throws SQLSTATE 42X04.

> When qualifying a synonym with its name in the select list, Derby throws SQLSTATE 42X04 but if there is no qualification of the column, then the select statement executes successfully.
