Thanks [~tkurc], I get it now. So yes you are correct, this module is not pulling anything from parent POM. But it wasn't really designed to be a child project in the first place. Now I am thinking if it should. Personally I was driven by the fact that this module is *not essential* to NiFi operation, hence leaning toward it being isolated form parent.
