I added the accelerometer plugin and noticed this in my browser console when running it as the browser platform:

Uncaught module org.apache.cordova.device-motion.accelerometer already defined 

>From cordova.js line 79.

After this it did say "adding proxy for Accelerometer" and I was able to use the plugin.
