tomcat.bat "startup" problem

I've got a really stupid problem in the latest build bits

If I do a tomcat start then I get this error
The system cannot find the batch label specified - startServer

However if I just copy and paste the 
if "%1" == "start" goto startServer
in tomcat.bat everything works fine.

Bizarre!
