New Warning while using spi2dav w/ 1.5 libs

I built my own version of the spi-spi2dav jar file to be I thought
compatible with the just released 1.5 of jackrabbit. I use spi2dav to talk
to the jackrabbit server.

I noticed that while dealing (fetching) with properties I get the following
warning (didn't use to, and I saw a reference to this on JCR-1300).

1736188 [main] WARN org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpMethodBase - Going
to buffer response body of large or unknown size. Using
getResponseBodyAsStream instead is recommended.

It doesn't appear to cause any problem, but I'm concerned.

thanks

No. Jackrabbit 1.5 should be fully backwards compatible with your
existing repositories and repository configuration files.

Our general policy is to maintain full backwards compatibility within
major release cycles, i.e. all 1.x releases should be compatible with
all versions down to 1.0.

We may break backwards compatibility when upgrading to a new major
release like 2.0 and 3.0, but I would expect us to provide the
required upgrade instructions and migration tools for any required
changes.

Is database migration necessary between 1.4 and 1.5 version ?

Posted by BOUCHET Jean-Luc <je...@sib.fr>.
Hi,

We use webdav server and an OraclePersistenceManager to store MS Office
documents in ORACLE 10G database.

At present time, Jackrabbit works very well with 1.4.x version. We plan to
migrate in 1.5 version.

My question concerns database scheme compatibility : will database migration
be necessary between 1.4 and 1.5 version ? What about future version (2.0
... ) ?

Thanks
