Sending requests to webservice

Hi,

I have a question concerning sending information (arguments that could be
files for example) through an analysis engine to an external (distant)
webservice and transforming the xml output into data that we can put into an
already created type system.

Is this feasable ? Do somone have an example on how we can do this ?
