   @mcvsubbu @npawar Just a reminder on the proposal, thanks! As I see it, this has two aspects to it - Segment freezing and thawing. I think segment freezing is _relatively_ simple due to tiered storage that is already implemented. Shall I start with a PoC implementation for it?
