help:active-profiles does not list active inherited profiles

Hi,
I am using Apache Maven 2.2.1 (r801777; 2009-08-06 21:16:01+0200)

I am trying to list the active profiles of a local pom, which inherits from
a parent pom.
I use the command help:active-profiles

There is one active profile in the parent pom. However it is not listed by
the command.
I know it is actually active because the properties defined in that profile
are actually used for filtering
in my local pom.

I found this JIRA bug which is exactly what i have noticed :

It is marked as unresolved. Is that still the case ?
And has this bug been fixed in Maven 3 ?
