回答: JAXM は2つのインタフェースの集合、javax.xml.soap と javax.xml.messaging の仕様です (注意: 実装ではありません)。最近、前者の集合が Sun によって自身の仕様である [http://wiki.apache.org/ws/Saaj "SOAP with Attachments API for Java" (SAAJ)] に移りました。

Axis は SAAJ (javax.xml.soap) インタフェースを実装しています。
