Hi Scott,

Yep, the easiest thing to do would be to check out the trunk and make
any additions (classes, tests, etc) that you may need and ensure the
project builds.  Then the best thing to do is to create a patch from
the root of the codebase and attach that patch to a Jira issue.

Just a quick note - Scott's code (while appreciated!) doesn't have any
Shiro integration (at least from what I saw).  If someone can
translate this to Shiro's APIs and provide a patch, things will move a
little faster (I personally don't have time to do this at the moment,
as things are work are pretty crazy time-wise).
