Merging Cells In Tables

Hello,

Has anyone been able to merge cells in an fo:table, much like how table cells in 
HTML are merged via COLSPAN and ROWSPAN?

number-columns-spanned and number-rows-spanned
it should be the same behavior as in html

ps: if you have html documents you can convert them using the convertor 
html2fo available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/html2fo. the fo files 
are not perfect but you will get a basis where you could work with.
