Writing test cases for TIMESTAMP

Hello,

I was going through all aspects of Hive code. Testing certain features and comparing with results are different from feature development. Is there a separate set of people to write function test programs? Or the developer has to write test programs along with feature code development.

The developer has to write the test programs in the same patch
