It would have nothing to do with SAX per se, but with the general
ability to create more performant code the closer one gets to the metal.
And it would clearly have more to do with the particular implementations
than anything else, though I clearly believe that a highly optimized C++
implementation most applications can out-perform a highly optimized Java
implementation. By how much often depends on the type of working being
done.

As SAX is originaally built in java, is their any real perfomane
differences in using SAX in any Non-java environment like  C++ SAX
implementation by xerces-c
