[jira] [Commented] (NETBEANS-1678) Option for coloring EOL

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-1678?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17245567#comment-17245567 ]

Christian Lenz commented on NETBEANS-1678:
------------------------------------------

[~swpalmer] yes it could be enough to treet EOF as whitespace, because per definition it is a whitespace. But I would prefer to have an extra option for EOF as the plugin, mentioned about also treat it different:

{quote}All tab and space characters are shown according to the "Whitespace" color option, and newline characters are made invisible.{quote}

> When I activate the option "Show non-printable characters" I can choose a different color for Whitespace. Unfortunately this will not affect the EOL symbol. It has still the same color as before. So it would be good, if we can have an option to change the color for EOL for all languages too.
> See the external link, there are some more options to change the color for that. Some other non-printable characters.
