[Bug 62410] New: Default setting for XML_PARSER in Makefile.win
causes nmake build to fail
https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=62410
Bug ID: 62410
Summary: Default setting for XML_PARSER in Makefile.win causes
nmake build to fail
Product: APR
Version: HEAD
Hardware: PC
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: APR-util
Assignee: bugs@apr.apache.org
Reporter: paul.mcconkey@imagenevp.com
Target Milestone: ---
If XML_PARSER is not set on the command line that invokes nmake then XML_PARSER
is set to "libexpat" (including quotes) on line 90 of Makefile.win.
Evaluating the following line 91:
!IF "$(XML_PARSER)" == "libexpat"
fails once the tokens are replaced because it turns into:
!IF ""libexpat"" == "libexpat"
and nmake sees the double quotes as a syntax error.
Workaround: add XML_PARSER=libexpat to the nmake command line.
Solution: remove quote marks from line 90.
