[jira] Created: (MAHOUT-378) min support parameter ignored in FPGrowth

min support parameter ignored in FPGrowth
-----------------------------------------

                 Key: MAHOUT-378
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAHOUT-378
             Project: Mahout
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Frequent Itemset/Association Rule Mining
            Reporter: Robert Neumayer
            Priority: Trivial

The minSupport parameter is never read in

generateFList(Iterator<Pair<List<A>,Long>> transactions, int minSupport)

One solution is to drop the parameter, i.e.:

generateFList(Iterator<Pair<List<A>,Long>> transactions)

I guess this would do the filtering:

		List<Pair<A, Long>> fList = new ArrayList<Pair<A, Long>>();
		for (Entry<A, MutableLong> e : attributeSupport.entrySet()) {
			if (e.getValue().intValue() >= minSupport) {
				fList.add(new Pair<A, Long>(e.getKey(), e.getValue()
						.longValue()));
			}
		}
