Is it possible to use synapse to implement a BAM package?

Hi
Thank you for reading my post
Is it possible to use Synapse to implement a BAM solution?
Imagine that we have tens of web services with very complex parameters,
now we want to monitor them and collect some statistic from them....

Is it wise to put Synapse between the clients and services to collect
these statistics?

Thanks

Hi Paul,
I read several of your articles and i should say thank you for providing
them.

I am looking to know better how does Synapse works and where we can use
it in our architecture as it seems to be something really useful when we
deal with web services.

I will let you know as soon as we get to a point that we could define
how a BAM solution ca be based on Synapse.
As you know BAM is all about looking at some statistics about a process
based system.
We are looking to use synapse as the collector of this statistics, it
will take time until we can say that whether Synapse can be used as a
base for implementing this.

Thank you.

I'd like to make clear that the WSO2 ESB is an Open Source (Apache License)
project that builds on top of Synapse. Basically it is a Web UI on top of
Synapse. One aspect is that the UI displays runtime stats.

If you have good ideas on how to expand Synapse to be a Business Activity
Monitor, we would *really* like to hear them! It is an area where Synapse
could excel, but it would be great to have some input on what users in this
space would be looking for.

Of course, you can use synapse. At the same time we have already implemented
statistics collection and monitoring on top of synapse with WSO2 ESB.

You may look at the WSO2 ESB [1] and use it for statistics collecting and
monitoring stuff.
