filterset within a zipfileset?

I am cleaning up my buildfile (and subsequently my build process) and
am wondering if you can use a filterset nested within a zipfileset?

I used to copy a properties file to a temp location (during which the
filterset modified a variable within). I would like to build my WAR
file without having to copy it to a temporary location first.

Can this be done? If not, can it be done another way?
