> -------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: SOLR-5398
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-5398
> Project: Solr
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: multicore
> Affects Versions: 4.5
> Reporter: Sergio Garcia Maroto
> Priority: Major
>
> It is not possible to define global properties in Solr.xml as follow anymore.
> <solr>
> <property name="lucene.version" value="LUCENE_40"/>
> </solr>
> As result you have to copy properies in each core.properties file.
> If you have many cores you have to copy many times repeated properties.
> Don´t you think this is something should stay in new Solr versions?
