[jira] [Commented] (STORM-938) storm-hive add a time interval to flush tuples to hive

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/STORM-938?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15333439#comment-15333439 ]

Rick Moritz commented on STORM-938:
-----------------------------------

Hi - sorry for commenting on this old bug, but since fix-version==1.0.0, this feature shouldn't be documented in docu-0.10.0.
This is currently somewhat confusing, since a documented feature doesn't exist (and conversely idleTimeOut isn't documented, but used in the code-snippet.)

I've added this here, since the connected PR probably caused the issue or was mis-merged.

> currently we've batch way updating hive orc tables. Unless configured batch size reaches flush won't happen . In some cases we might need to have an option of time interval if a configured time interval reaches storm-hive bolt should flush these tuples to hive.
