[users@httpd] Using "poppassd" to change user passwords via Apache

I am looking for a solution for users to be able to change their own
passwords via web interface over the net. I was told to look at "poppassd."
Does anyone have any said experience with this kind of setup?

if the webmail app, and the mail server is on the same machine.. just
open poppasd at the local interface (127.0.0.1). If they are different,
try to use an internal ip, or block access using iptables (linux) ipsec
(windows)

This "hosts allowed" option may be difficult as they will all be webmail
users. How can this be achieved?

I used that setup (apache and mailserver/poppassd on another box).
Worked fine. Although i had to make some changes due to my martian
configuration.. but it's kinda easy.
You have to be sure only the hosts allowed use the service, cause it
isn't the best (security related)
