[users@httpd] Looking for web stats application or module

I am pretty new to Apache (on FreeBSD4.2), and am looking for an application or module that will provide me w/ some website activity reports, ie, # of hit, address, location of address, time, most active time, etc.
Thanks for your feedback!

The best program I found for this is AWSTATS[0]. It gives all of what
you want and more. If you don't have a problem running an open source
program, I HIGHLY recommend AWSTATS. I'd show off my stat's, but it's
password protected and restricted by IP to my LAN.

First Virtual Conference Server is not free, I don't know the cost, my boss
didn't tell me and the web site doesn't say.
>From my understanding the install program installs Tomcat for you and runs
on port 8080. I don't know much more right now, still reading the
documentation. I don't think it is cheap, but I have never seen an open
source version that was complete yet.

The web site is: www.fvc.com

Yes, this is no problem. You also can connect Apache and Tomcat over mod_jk
for an example.
But i´ve never used FirstVirtualConferenceServer. Is it openSource? Do you
have an URL?

thanks Lars.

[users@httpd] Internet Conference over the Internet

Posted by Mark McCulligh <mm...@visualtech.ca>.
Hi,

My boss want we to install some video conferencing software on our web
server for testing. Has anyone ever used First Virtual Conference Server
before. If Yes, is it good.

Also, this software installs Tomcat on my machine. The machine already has
Apache running on it, can both exist at the same time.

Thanks,
Mark.

One cool application which I enjoy pretty much and is fairly
straightforward to use is AWStats at http://awstats.sf.net

It is open source and works in Perl. Its very informative and might
fit the need at the moment. Good luck :)
