Vinod K V commented on MAPREDUCE-1447:
--------------------------------------
Daniel, I can see calls to setupJob() and cleanupJob() in branch-0.20's version of LocalJobRunner, the runner that is used for running jobs in local mode. They are definitely there in 0.21 and recent versions. Can you throw more light as to what you meant by "not working in local mode"?

> OutputCommitter is not totally working in local mode. Only task level hooks are called, which are setupTask, needsTaskCommit, commitTask, abortTask. Job level hooks are not working, which are: setupJob, cleanupJob.
