[jira] Commented: (IVYDE-65) IvyDE has not yet been released within the Apache Software Foundation

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IVYDE-65?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12597937#action_12597937 ]

Szczepan Faber commented on IVYDE-65:
-------------------------------------

Can you guys release the version that is compatible with Ivy 2.0?

I know that 2.0 is still beta but it would be really helpful if you provided release for 2. Ivy2.0 is taking its time to get released. The other reason is that one can spent some time trying to figure out why ivyde doesn't work. It took me time to figure out that ivyde doesn't fully work with 2.0 (it's not written on the homepage). Next, I tried to build it from source but ant barks with exceptions:

C:\projects\ivyde>ant -DbaseLocation="C:\Program Files\eclipse"
Buildfile: build.xml

eclipse-startup-check:

eclipse-startup-classpath:

eclipse-launcher-classpath:
[echo] Using equinox launcher jar: C:\Program Files\eclipse\plugins\org.ecl
ipse.equinox.launcher_1.0.1.R33x_v20080118.jar

build:

BUILD FAILED
C:\projects\ivyde\build.xml:61: Java returned: 13

Please consider releasing releasing version of ivyde that is compatible with ivy2.0. In my project I ended up removing the plugin and manually configuring the build path to local folder with retrieved jars.
