Must I have to install Word and Excel to use the POI API ?
Hi,
I have just some question that is in the title : must I have to
install Word and Excel to use the POI API ?
I'm currently using jCom to create .doc and .xls files, but it
requires to install Word and Excel and this is a problem for me.
In fact, I'm coding a script running on a server and I don't want to
install office components on it.
Thank you,

You do not need to have MS Word/Excel installed.
Note, that POI API will work on any Java supported environment.
