I suppose that when you are trying to select already added item from the shopping cart, you click on "PC001 - Configurable PC" link. This link brings you to the product page, not to the page that contains information about the item, that was already added to the cart. 
Maybe you can try to remove wrongly added item and then add it again with the proper configuration.
