[Bug 62204] New: make sure MSI installer does not backrev the filesystems (no system restore).

https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=62204

            Bug ID: 62204
Summary: make sure MSI installer does not backrev the
                    filesystems (no system restore).
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.5-HEAD
          Hardware: PC
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Win32 MSI Installer
          Assignee: bugs@httpd.apache.org
          Reporter: jmichae35@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

try a different installer, like NSIS. it's more like assembler.
there are other installers. (installshield, wise, etc)

not sure if it's MSI itself, but every MSI I have used has backrev'd the
filesystems in the machine a few days.

I didn't think the ASF produced an MSI installer for trunk or 2.5. Can you
share the details and articulate a specific problem with it? Is this something
you're planning to work on or is this just a wishlist item?

where did the previous one go? blasted out the door immediately as false. I
have seen this with my own eyes regularly. you should take a look.
as for the spam comment, please reserve such jhudgements to yourself until you
verify the facts, instead of closing bugs out of hand.
