That is a misunderstanding of that check box. "Keep ratio" is not a property of
the object, but a property of the dialog. It binds the input of height and
width together, so that the ratio is kept.

When you use the mouse you get the same effect, when you press shift key while
resizing.

There exist no property of objects, that would lock the height/width ratio.
