   @AaronLeon I'm perfectly fine with using the low level client, with the caveat that I have not seen any information on how to detect the version of the cluster. That has validation implications because types are required in 5 and 6, but somewhere between 7 and 8 they won't be. In fact, they won't even exist by at 8.
