Not sure if this was just luck, but error finally stopped for me after I moved 
spreadsheet from an external drive to the C drive.

I was constantly getting 'bad allocation' followed by crash whenever I saved
and other times - probably when auto-saved. (Calc 4.1.10 and 4.1.5 on Win 10)

Spreadsheet is small and simple but was stored on a thumb drive.  Moving it to
the C drive SEEMS to have stopped the errors, at least for now.
