Multiple modules

Hello Everyone!

Me & my friends are working on a J2EE project (dynamic, customizable portal
thingy) using Struts & Tiles. We`re new to Struts, and have a problem: we
are using more web modules, and we want to connect the modules, so in module
A we could use tiles from module B. Redirection is not really an option.
What we want is to be able to define a layout somewhere, and place a tile in
it from a different module.
All modules are in the same ear, of course. Plz help!

Thx
Zoltan

I misunderstood the struts meaning of "module", coz I thougth it was a web module (war) with struts support, but it`s only a subdir in the web-content folder. What I was really looking for was a way to forward between
war files, but I guess I will have to use struts modules.
I`m using WebSphere Studio 5 for development, and it has some support for building struts based web-apps. With wsad you can create a web diagram which is a visual representation of actions, beans, jsps and
modules. There is an icon for adding web application, but when I press it, wsad freezes. Anyone know what it does?

Bye
Zoltan

There is a property that you set in the tiles plugin part of the
struts-config.xml file to enable tiles to mullti module aware

then u can define all your definitions in one file and call them from all
modules
