[jira] [Commented] (GUACAMOLE-151) Support Prompting for Authenticators

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-151?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15792084#comment-15792084 ]

Michael Jumper commented on GUACAMOLE-151:
------------------------------------------

Given that parameters in the Guacamole protocol are generic (there is no concept of a particular parameter being specific to authentication), this would likely need to be generic as well. There was a similar issue downstream (created back when downstream was upstream):

https://glyptodon.org/jira/browse/GUAC-335

If this were implemented, and could be made sufficiently generic, it would also take care of the use case behind GUACAMOLE-137.

> Support interactive authentication prompts for connections. There are several reasons for this:
> - Ability to create connections at an administrative level that apply to many users.
> - Ability to support RDP NLA authentication/encryption without having to save authenticators.
> - Ability to have Guacamole authentication different from connection authentication in the above scenarios - no GUAC_USERNAME/PASSWORD passthrough.
