[users@httpd] log_server_status script

Hi I am trying to run the log_server_status script and it's 
require(ing) the old style (.ph) headers.  I cannot get it working on 
OS X or Red Hat.  I've run h2ph, but I am still getting lots of errors. 
  Has anyone ported/upgraded the script to use IO::Socket or something 
more recent???
