Services Install (Win32)

           Summary: Services Install (Win32)
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.40
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://www.bestcrack.net
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: All
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: randall@johnsoncpu.com

This is not so much a bug but a compatibility issue.

Apache will not install while CommuniGate pro email server is running. During
the recent update to 2.0.40, I discovered that the Apache services on Win32
will not install as long as CommuniGate is running on the same server. The
install completes but the Apache server refuses to start with no error in event
logs or /log/error. The Apache service does not appear in the MMC "Services"
snap in or in the Task Manager as running. If CommuniGate pro is stopped before
attemting to install Apache the services are installed & started correctly.
ComminiGate will also need to be stopped before Apache server is
restarted/started. This may or may not be version specific as CommuniGate has
only recently been installed on the server.
