Apache Cordova/PhoneGap up-to-date usage stats?

Hello Apache Cordova!

Are there any up-to-date stats concerning:

(1) how many times each version of the framework has been downloaded?

(2) how many Android apps are built on top of the framework (across all
versions)?

(3) how many Android apps are built on top of each version of the framework?

Thanks!

Best,
         Martin

Hi Martin, absolute numbers are impossible given the open nature of the
project and numerous downstream distributions (phonegap, xdk, sencha,
chrome apps, etc)

That said, you can infer reasonable guesses now that much of the work is
primarily used via npm.

Some samples to get you started

http://www.npm-stats.com/~packages/cordova
http://www.npm-stats.com/~packages/cordova-ios
http://www.npm-stats.com/~packages/cordova-android

For android there have been efforts to decompile and create a best-guess. I
can't find the research but some googling should turn it up; the numbers
where roughly 10-20% of the Play Store is hybrid.
