[GitHub] [pinot] ankitsultana opened a new issue, #10592: Inconsistent Metric Naming Convention

ankitsultana opened a new issue, #10592:

   I think there are at least two different naming conventions followed for metrics.

   One of them looks like:

   ```
   pinot.server.<metric-name>.<table-name>.<partition-id>
   pinot.server.<metric-name>.<table-name>
   ```
   (e.g. `realtimeIngestionDelayMs`, `segmentCount`)

   And the other type looks like:

   ```
   pinot.server.<table-name>.<metric-name>
   ```
   (e.g. `deletedSegmentCount`)

   The hierarchy between metric and table names is different. Is this intentional?
