one of the many bottom lines

One of the many bottom lines is that I have a few hundred bucks worth
of bills to mail out on monday but nothing to pay them with and
nothing left that I can liquidate in time. I also got an overdue
notice from my hosting service (the original disconnect request didn't
go through and i didn't get the original bill that this late notice
applies to).

I'd like this conversation to continue and rapidly turn around for the
better. That's the most immediate problem I face, however, and it's
(relative to the resources at my command) a very insurmountable
problem for me alone.

Given all the resources at their command, I'm surprised that managers
and execs don't have lots of little funds around to work-around
(hopefully transient) economic bugs like this. I'm sickened that,
after contacting many (more than you can infer from the CC's), exactly
one was able to help a little bit (staving off the death of
regexps.com a few months back).

Isn't that pathetic? Isn't that unseemly to state in public? Doesn't
it go against American Individualism? As an exec, might not your
strongest instinct be to refuse help lest you be overwhelmed by so
many similar requests that you can't even figure out where to start?
