please help checking boosting bug
Hi there,
please can someone with a already working nutch system invest 5 minutes
to help find a bug? It is to curious I can't believe my eyes.
Please download luke http://www.getopt.org/luke/ and inspect the
boosting values of the indexed documents.
There fore open luke and select
/yourNutchHome/segments/oneSegmentFolder/index
Then go the document tab and press the button "->" (top left hand side)
Please check now the boosting value in the field boost and boost given
by luke.
In all cases I had different values my boosting factor was in any case
1f but the value of the boosting field was different like 0.51.
I guess this a bug since documents should have the same boost as
written in the boost field, isn't?
Is that a bug? That would be a serious bug, isn't it?
Thanks for any hints.
Stefan

Sorry, my mistake,
the actually used lucene is not able to return boosting values of
already indexed documents readed by a indexreader.
Erik gave me some light in the lucene mailing list.
Sorry a very stupid mistake, please do not waste any time.
