[juddi-Developers] FW: [juddi-Users] Sourceforge page.

fyi (see below)

By TModel XML handler I mean "org.juddi.parser.TModelHandler".

Mark

Yes, TModel should return a name element. I just took a look at the
TModel XML handler and it looks as though you may have uncovered another
issue. It's getting late here (and I'm a little tired) so I'll have to
take a closer look in the morning to make sure that I safely make the
fix. I'll let you know when I do.

Thank you, and keep it up!

Steve.

Hi Steve,

Sound as a bell. I'll send it to the list so in future. Just
on the Tmodel example, is the client supposed to expect a tmodel name
back from Juddi?
I rechecked everything out a few moments ago and sure enough the xtra
directory was there.

Thanks,
Mark.

Mark,

We're not doing nightly builds just yet. Right now everyone must build
jUDDI on their own after checking out the source from CVS. Thanks for
reporting that if(true) issue (I'm the culprit). The fix has been posted
to SourceForge already.

I'd recommend using UDDI4j as the client lib. I don't mind getting your
postings directly (if that's what you mean) but you will probably have
more consistent and timely feedback if you post questions comments to
the juddi-users list as I monitor that as well. The other jUDDI users
are typically very helpful and responsive too. The confusion of late is
due to the fact that jUDDI went through a major restructuring in version
0.7 and everyone is just getting thier hands on it ... it's almost a
whole new version so there are some 'simple' issues to resolve still
(like the one you just reported).

Hey Steve,
Sorry about that I'm not too used to having such early
access to a product.
Do you guys have nightly builds and stuff or do you compile directly to
the CVS repository on sourceforge?
Just a quick heads up on the current source. Currently the
FindBusinessFunction at line eh.122 , there's an

'if(true)' statement instead of the test to see if the find string isn't
exceeding the max length for a find name so
I think every 'Find' is returning an 'Exceeding max length for a find
name' type exception.

I'm using UDDI4j as my uddi client and when Saving a Tmodel it's
expecting back a tmodel name element?
Is it supposed to expect that? To be honest I'm not familiar with the
standard.

By the way is it cool my posting things like this to you or do you have
a specific place/person for the likes of it?

Thanks,
Mark.

Hi Mark,

We have not yet made a release of jUDDI. When we do these files (zip and
tar.gz) will be available at the following URL:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=42875

Until a release is made the only way aquire jUDDI is to pull the source
from CVS and building jUDDI yourself. I'll update the web site to make
this a little clearer.

We're planning to make a release available sometime this Spring.

Thanks.

Steve

Hi Lads,
On the downloads page of the juddi site the link to the
sourceforge site is

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=42875

which resolves to a No File Packages page.

Instead if you surf to
http://sourceforge.net/projects/juddi

ye get to the project page with a link then to the CVS repository.

This may be a problem with my browser and I'm not sure I'm not sure if
I've mentioned this before.

Apologies if I have.

Thanks,
Mark.
