@Nicolas: TestScanner was only failing for this reason in 89-fb. Looking at the trunk version, I see that it does not use HServerAddress (which is deprecated in trunk) and does not perform a hostname lookup on "bar.foo.com". So yes, this is only relevant to 89-fb.
