[jira] [Created] (BIGTOP-110) DN can't be started in secure
configuration on SLES
DN can't be started in secure configuration on SLES
---------------------------------------------------
Key: BIGTOP-110
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BIGTOP-110
Project: Bigtop
Issue Type: Bug
Components: RPM
Affects Versions: 0.1.0
Reporter: Roman Shaposhnik
Assignee: Roman Shaposhnik
Fix For: 0.2.0
Our /etc/init.d scripts for SLES drop privs right away to hdfs/mapred users. This makes DN fail to start. The solution is to let Hadoop scripts do the priv. dropping (this is what we do for CentOS/RHEL anyway).
