Jetspeed2 and Tomcat5.

Is jetspeed-2 supposed to work on Tomcat 5.0.16? 
If not, are there any plans to support Tomcat 5 in the near future?
 
I am getting a series of exceptions when I try to access the portal(build works ok and portal works on Tomcat4)
