If I set detectLinks to true, I get many "Error fetching link: .../package-list" messages when generating API documents. As many artifacts do not provide their apidocs according to the Maven convention, I wish the log level for such messages would be much lower (ignored anyway) so that it could be easier to find more serious errors, especially in continuous integration.
