Tomcat war files

Hi all,
I am trying to load a "dbprops" file located within a context in a war file,
without unpacking the war file.
I am able to load the war file into memory (unpack option set to false ),
but I am unable to read the dbprops file. 
Where should it be located and how should it be called?
I am currently hard coding the pathe to the "dbprops" file.
