Beta vs Release [WAS:RE: Nice labels for inputs.]
Dont be ridiculous. 1.1b2 is far better than the truly *ancient* 1.0.2 and I
do believe somewhat more stable (ie: the 1.0.2 bugs are fixed in it). (Its
certainly far far more stable than any commercial product release ever is)
Dont worry about the beta business. Unlike commercial software , the struts
crew wont label a release as such until every last tiny little bug they know
about is gone - and then they will wait some more to see if the get a sign
from the heavens... ;-)
You can get a list of what bugs are still being fixed from bugzilla.

How many caveats are there if I am going to be using 1.0ish to develop
with? I am not sure what the official stance on struts versioning is at
work. For the most part, everyone is in a somewhat mad rush to learn
all they can, so it may be alright. However, I do have a little
reservation about using a beta product.

For the most updated information - and in a format which easily viewed
by (most) everyone - try grabbing a nightly. Just slap that
struts-documentation.war into your development container, and you won't
have to worry about the jakarta site being slow for you. Plus, you'll
have more up-to-date docs! Woo-hoo!
